Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using SpeakTrue, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Service Description
SpeakTrue is a speech app that provides speech-focused tools including text-to-speech, speech-to-text, speech-to-speech conversion, and soundboard management.
Eligibility and Accounts
- SpeakTrue is not directed to children under 13.
- If you are between 13 and 18, you may use SpeakTrue only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- You may use Apple, Google, or email authentication where available.
App Cost
SpeakTrue is currently offered as a free app. There are no paid feature paywalls in the current public app build. If pricing or paid features are introduced in a future version, the app and these Terms will be updated before those charges apply.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to interfere with service integrity, availability, or security.
- Upload or generate content that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
- Clone, imitate, or use a person’s voice unless you own that voice or have the required consent or legal right.
- Use generated speech, transcripts, cloned voices, or soundboard clips to deceive, impersonate, harass, defraud, or harm another person.
- Use the app for spam, unauthorized robocalling, scams, phishing, call bombing, bulk unsolicited communications, or collection of contact information for those purposes.
- Use the app for political impersonation, voter suppression, or misleading election-related activity.
- Use the app to provide tailored professional advice, including medical, mental health, legal, financial, or similar advice, unless all required professional review, disclosures, and legal safeguards are in place.
- Use the app in a way that would be classified as prohibited, high-risk, or similarly restricted under applicable AI, privacy, consumer-protection, or safety laws.
- Use ElevenLabs or SpeakTrue outputs to train, fine-tune, test, or improve machine-learning or AI models, or to build datasets for those purposes.
- Attempt to bypass provider safeguards, rate limits, account controls, voice verification, entitlement checks, or abuse-prevention systems.
Content and AI Services
- SpeakTrue uses ElevenLabs as a third-party AI service for speech processing features.
- Text-to-speech sends the text you enter to ElevenLabs to generate speech audio.
- Speech-to-text sends your audio recording to ElevenLabs to generate a transcript.
- Speech-to-speech sends your audio recording to ElevenLabs for transcription, then sends the resulting text to ElevenLabs to generate speech audio.
- Voice cloning sends sample recordings of your voice, or a voice you have permission to use, to ElevenLabs to create the cloned voice. SpeakTrue does not store those sample recordings after submission; they are transmitted for processing and deleted from SpeakTrue once the clone is completed or rejected.
- SpeakTrue asks for your in-app permission before sending user content to ElevenLabs.
- Some features also rely on Supabase for authentication, backend functions, database, and optional storage.
- Service behavior may depend on provider availability and network conditions.
- You are responsible for content you submit, upload, or generate through the app.
- SpeakTrue is not an ElevenLabs product, reseller, agent, partner, or joint venture. ElevenLabs is a third-party service provider used for supported AI speech workflows.
- Your use of features powered by ElevenLabs must comply with these Terms and with applicable ElevenLabs service, safety, and prohibited-use requirements.
Privacy
Your use of SpeakTrue is also governed by the Privacy Policy:

Intellectual Property
All rights in the app, including software, design, branding, and content provided by SpeakTrue, are reserved by the developer and licensors.
Disclaimer
SpeakTrue is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where necessary for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
